Where the Heck! Are We Going Arizona?
In
the article where are we going Arizona Nicole Buidotti-Hernandez explains the
problems with Mexicans having to be carded because the law wasn’t vetoed by
Brewer. This had an effect on Spanish people
in Arizona making it a law to stop and arrest someone that looks Mexican. Brewer also signed a bill taking away ethic
studies causing children in schools to not know their ethnic backgrounds because
she an many other people feel that is not important to American culture. “This is something that needs to be nipped in
the bud; we cannot have copycat laws in other states following the misinformed
lead of Arizona legislators that make white supremacy fashionable,” said
marcher Geoff Valdes, a resident of Austin, Texas. Mexican culture in America
is making be taught as if it’s something everybody should wear as a trend. In
this quote by Valdes is basically saying if US the People of America can let Mexican
Americans cross our borders and teach in our schools, what else can be let
allowed in our Home. I believe that ethnic studies are important; people should
be able to have a voice and a choice. In your own thoughts my fellow readers
what do you feel that needs to be resolved in this matter? Can ethnic studies
benefit American children in schools? I say yes. If you want to find out more about his article

article if you have not read about the fuss in Arizona.
